Position: Attorney General

As head of the Department of Justice and chief law enforcement officer of the federal government, the attorney general represents the United States in legal matters and advises the president and executive department heads of the Government. The attorney general appears to represent the government before the U.S. Supreme Court in cases of exceptional importance.
