As head of the Department of Justice and chief law enforcement officer of the federal government, the attorney general represents the United States in legal matters and advises the president and executive department heads of the Government. The attorney general appears to represent the government before the U.S. Supreme Court in cases of exceptional importance.

Nominee's Background:

Cliff Arnebeck is a defender of Voting Rights and specifically fought the good fight against the voting irregularities and voting abuses of the 2004 Presidential Election in Ohio.

Nominating Speech:
Voting Rights is the bedrock of our Demcoracy and Cliff Arnebeck was there in Ohio defending our Democracy against the egregious abuses of the Presidential Election in Ohio, 2004. We need someone in the office of Attorney General who takes voting rights seriously and who go after violators of our voting rights with diligence, speed, determination and persistence.
