Position: Secretary - Veterans Affairs

The secretary of Veterans Affairs is responsible for the federal government's second largest department. The secretary oversees benefits programs provided to veterans by the federal government. Encompassing hundreds of medical centers, clinics, cemeteries, and program offices, the Department of Veterans Affairs employs approximately 224,000 people and operates with a budget of almost $60 billion.
