Iris was born and raised on Vashon Island and always thought the Backbone Campaign was pretty dang cool! She is excited join Backbone and be a part of the connection of artful activists working together to honor good things in the world.
She attended The Evergreen State College and studied visual ethnography and photography and has lived in Seattle, Olympia, New York City, and Tempe AZ. She believes that human connection is key to meaningful change, but also likes dogs and nature more than people. Dogs are the best.
She also enjoys playing violin, writing, and looking for edible mushrooms in the forest (with her dogs - dogs are the best).
