Amy Morrison was involved with the Backbone Campaign in its early days, serving as the Managing Director for several years. She took a break between 2009-2014 to study nonprofit management, accounting, fundraising and board development. Amy joined the Board and served as the Board President. In 2016 she was asked to come onto the staff as the Deputy Director, to help with fundraising, grant writing, staff management, organizational systems and processes, and Board development.
In an earlier life, Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Huxley College at Western Washington University. She served as a Math Teacher in Gabon with the Peace Corps and spent the next couple of decades raising her two daughters on Vashon Island.
