Spiritual Activist

Sweetwater is an Idle No More activist that advocates for the protection of the fragile environment of the Northwest Coast, for tribal sovereignty rights, and the traditional way of life of Native people. She is very active in organizing Idle No More events and actions that address local and global issues. Sweetwater, a descendant from Tlingit activists, is a bridge-builder that recognizes the indigenous knowledge that states now is the time all people must work together to ensure a better world for future generations. She conducts Idle No More workshops, teach-ins, and presentations about a variety of topics in a respectful way that is both healing and empowering.
