Backbone stands with Tribes to demand that the 4 Lower Snake River dams be breached, to save endangered salmon.
You are invited to a meeting on Wednesday, January 5th, to kickoff our efforts in 2022.
We'll discuss actions we can take from January - July, to make our elected officials align their policymaking with what the vast majority of scientists say - that there is no alternative but to breach the 4 Snake dams. A free flowing river is a must for salmon, steelhead and other native species - and with the growing climate impacts on the river, we are running out of time for the fish, who hover on the brink of extinction.
Backbone Campaign is focusing its resources on this important issue. We commit to supporting community-based organizers and organizations working on local actions that raise awareness about the plight of wild Snake salmon and what a free flowing Snake would mean for us all in the Pacific Northwest.
So please join us at this zoom meeting to discuss ideas for creative actions that get attention and make a difference!
Date: Wednesday, January 5th
Time: Noon Pacific / 3pm Eastern
All who wish to see a free flowing Snake are welcome to attend. Your voice, energy, time, and ideas are important. RSVP below for the zoom link.
