Kaleidoscope of Love: A Presentation on Creative Activism by Christopher Lutter-Gardella

We hope you'll join us for this very special opportunity. Christopher Lutter-Gardella, a virtuosic Minneapolis-based artist, designer, master of community animation will be on Vashon Island this coming week. Backbone is hosting him for a free and informal (in person) presentation on his work this coming Sunday Afternoon.

Even as politicians and xenophobes work to divide us, Chris's work harnesses the community's intention to stay connected and “dance together.” He has been an inspiration and collaborator for Backbone Campaign for over a decade, having created the beloved Snowflake polar bear puppet for our 2007 Procession for the Future, and much more. Christopher's recent work in Minneapolis, at the southern border and amidst rural communities is truly inspired. Some photos below provide a mere glimpse.

Join us for this unique and inspirational encounter, this Sunday, March 15th, 3-4:30pm at Backbone's Warehouse Workshop on Vashon Island.

RSVP below; location info will be sent via email.

Some pictures of his work include the most incredible human mural Kaleidoscope of Love, his work at Beyond Borders, the Giant Farmer of Plain, and Snowflake).
