Students at several colleges and schools in the Salish Sea area organized a Week of Action to protect the salmon of the Snake River and the Southern Resident orca. The week culminated in a march through the streets of Seattle, to the Federal Building, where student organizers met with Rep Jayapal staff.
Backbone ED Bill Moyer spoke about our Trains Can Save Salmon Plan and the importance of solutions-oriented activism.
After speeches, the youth and allies took the streets, from Capitol Hill to downtown, ending at the Federal Building with chants, banners, and inflatables.

Thank you Students for Climate Action Bellingham, for inviting Backbone into this wonderful week of action and for all your efforts for a free flowing Snake River!
