29 Sept 18: Artist Alessandra Mondolfi projected "We Won't Be Silent Anymore" in Miami during the Kavanaugh hearings.
"Last night I did my first Light Projection. I have always seen these done on symbolic buildings as an act of defiance. As I wanted mine to be about affirmation, I chose to use Jaume Plensa’s sculpture by the Pérez Art Museum Miami as my surface.
The sculpture is a large scale portrait of a woman. She sits on Miami’s Bayfront looking out onto the water. Her eyes are closed and the expression on her face is serene yet her posture is strong. I felt that she was the perfect place to intervene with the “We won’t be silent anymore” message." ~Alessandra, Miami
