Backbone helps organize Vashon Island's participation in Global Climate Strike

Backbone worked with the Vashon Climate Action Group to organize Vashon Island's participation in the Global Climate Strike. Several hundred people participated in the march which started near the High School and spanned two miles down the main highway to reconvene at the town center. The march took over the northbound lane of the two lane highway -- and caused quite a jam.

Backbone provided assistance with imagery (including our kaleidoscope of monarch butterflies, a GREEN NEW DEAL LED banner, art builds, personal banners, giant inflatable chinook, and backbone flag) and traffic logistics.
