The United Nations Climate Conferences for 2021 was held in Glasgow this year, gathering world leaders and stakeholder together to talk about climate change. These conferences while flashy, have a history of greenwashing and inactivity from people in power. Backbone helped to support projectionist outside of the conference that reminded people of issues at stake
Backbone projected #UnDamTheUN in collaboration with International Rivers & Waterkeeper Alliance. They are leading the way exposing that Dams are NOT a climate solution! Dams = methane, extinction and cultural genocide.
#StopCambo used gobos from Backbone to spread their message on the urgency of stoping the Cambo oil field, and as of December 2nd Shell Oil has pulled out from the drilling project!
