Orca and Salmon Join With Environment WA

Backbone's inflatable orca and chinook salmon join with Environment Washington's efforts to protect the Southern Resident orcas.

Laura and Iris deployed Backbone's inflatable Orca and Chinook salmon in the courtyard of the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building in downtown Seattle as backdrop imagery for Environment Washington's press release.

Environment WA presented Senator Murray and Senator Cantwell with 15,000+ signatures gathered from around the state, urging them to take action to protect the southern resident orcas by removing the lower four dams in the Snake River, thereby restoring the river's ecology and renewing salmon runs.
