Backbone Campaign's Solutionary Rail project organized a press conference at the State Capitol, to tell our State DOT, Finish the Job on the Amtrak Cascades!

Speakers from Transit Riders Union, Climate Rail Alliance, Rail Passengers Association, Wa Physicians for Social Responsibility, Indivisible Tacoma and Olympia Indivisible, and others joined SR to say, We need the Amtrak Cascades, not corporate boondoggles that will take decades and tens, if not hundreds, of billions of dollars!  

The event was timed to coincide with a meeting of the Joint Transportation Committee at the Capitol; afterward, rail advocates met with legislators about WSDOT's application to the FRA.
