Backbone E.D. had an out of the ordinary day of action recently. He brought Backbone's inflatable orcas and some percussion instruments to Hazelwood Elementary in Edmonds WA. (Home turf of Sen. Maria Cantwell).

Mrs. Bromley's students had been learning a lot about orcas, the ocean ecosystem and salmon they depend on. So, Bill - with the assistance of Landon and Derek and other students put on a bit of a parade and then entertained the younger students at recess.

Though Bill's back suffered a bit afterward, the time with these youth was a refreshing and beautiful way to spend a day in the world of Backbone. Lots of great media attention for the youthful action.
