Following the insurrection on January 6th, folks in Portland, Maine felt called to action to send a clear message that the 45th President is a threat to our country and our democracy. Their light projections urged that every lawmaker must take immediate action to remove Trump from office following the insurrection he incited on our Capitol.

One of the projectionists involved in the action, Tina Marie said "Projections allow us to make our voices heard and find solidarity in our community in a safe way during the pandemic. It can feel validating during a time when we are alone so often."
The streets of Downtown Portland Maine were illuminated with these messages, proving a safe way for people to come together and make their voices heard.
