Backbone Sets Backdrop at Seattle Move to Amend Day of Action

Backbone set the backdrop in Seattle as part of Move to Amend's coordinated national day of action.

As part Move to Amend's coordinated national day of action to showcase the impacts of corporate power, Fix Democracy First and Jefferson County WA Move to Amend organized an action in the courtyard of the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building calling for WA Senators Murray and Cantwell to sponsor HJR 48, and end corporate constitutional rights.

Backbone set the backdrop with our massive 28th Amendment as many activists and organizations came together to speak out about the impact of corporate personhood in our lives and communities. Backbone's ED, Bill Moyer spoke about Backbone's history of fighting corporate rule including actions agains Citizen's United and carrying on that fight through Solutionary Rail and its potential for a clean energy future -- free from corporate power!

After the rally, delegates from each organization went upstairs to speak with the offices of Senators Murray and Cantwell, urging them to sponsor HJR 48. Bill got some good questions in.
