Support the Upstream Tour: Creative Activism for LSR Dam Removal

Help Backbone Launch the Upstream Tour on March 4th!

The Upstream Tour is a journey of artful activism and coalition-building throughout the Greater Columbia & Snake River Watersheds in solidarity with Tribal Nations and the survival of Endangered Salmon and Endangered Southern Resident Orca Whale populations.

Since last summer, when orca mother Tahlequah communicated the dire conditions of her pod’s habitat, Backbone Campaign has pitched in all we can to amplify the campaign to remove the dams on the Lower Snake River.

Now we want to take our creative activism to the next level, leveraging our resources during this crucial moment while the Legislature debates how to best save orca and salmon.

Our team is ready to get on the road, delivering pop-up artful activism workshops, and engaging communities along the rivers in creative actions. We'll conduct stakeholder interviews along the way and produce a high quality mini-documentary of 9-14 minutes -- all designed to keep pressure on WA State Legislature during the current legislative session.

We need your help. Please make a tax deductible contribution so that on March 4th we can launch the Upstream Tour. For 10 days we'll travel in our biodiesel box truck along the Columbia-Snake Watershed, connecting people across the region with their love of salmon and orca and training them up to take creative action.

Donations of $75 or more will receive a beautiful t-shirt.  (After you make your donation, staff will follow up with you on size/style.)

Thank you!
