Backbone East mobilized our inflatable "elephant in the room" as a part of a guerrilla peace parade behind the official Military Bowl parade.

The elephant showcased the message "US Military = #1 Polluter." A deer fence banner accompanied that read "Fund communities not war & genocide." This was to highlight the US Military's place as #1 world polluter. Activists handed out info on military spending and how it is at the intersection of many issues and shortage of funds in our communities.

Backbone East partnered with Baltimore Phil Kerrigan Chapter of Veterans for Peace, MD Peace Action, and Code Pink with others from AA Co. SURJ.
