Protest Chase Bank: Bellingham

The Bellingham team protested at the local Chase Bank to let customers know that they are financing climate destruction on Native Lands.

Located in the traditional unceded Wet'suwet'en territory, the Unist'ot'en camp has made a stand to protect all of us by asserting their sovereignty over their land, and blocking multiple fracked gas pipelines. For the last ten years they have prevented oil and gas workers from accessing their territory.

TransCanada, the owner of the Coastal Gas Link Pipeline, has filed for an injunction that would force the folks living at the Unist'oten Healing center off their traditional territory. This is a reassertion of the oppressive colonial power that industry and government have historically used to disenfranchise indigenous communities.

Now it is time for us to stand in solidarity with the Unist'ot'en Camp, and their actions that are protecting future generations.

Projection reads "All Markets Peak, All Pipelines Leak", and "Divest Now!"
