Backbone Campaign and our Solutionary Rail project joined with Climate Rail Alliance for a rally on Dec 1, 2022, the first day Legislators were back on campus.

After speeches by Guest Herb Krohn (RWU) and Rail Can't Wait Campaign members Tim Gould, Lael White, and Tom White, we were treated to a beautiful new song, written and performed by Annie Phelan and Karen Davis, "All Aboard the Climate Train." 

Bill Moyer, Backbone ED, spoke about how rail can replace transportation services of the Lower Snake River dams and how it is a unifying resource that connects us all.

Following the brief speeches, participants took the Solutionary Rail Train to the Sundial and got Legislators' attention!  

After the rally, members of the Campaign attended meetings of the Senate and House Transportation Committees, sharing Rail Can't Wait Coalition's Policy Priorities and Solutionary Rail's Trains Can Save Salmon Plan.
