Nimiipuu Flotilla on The Snake River

Drone videography by John Carlos Frey.

Backbone supported the indigenous led Flotilla on the Snake River, as part of the All Our Relations Journey.  A crew of helpers traveled to Hells Gate State Park, just south of Lewiston Idaho on the Snake River, to deploy an on water banner that read Free the Snake, as well as land based banners and props.

Special thanks to Dana Schuerholz, Thomas Elliott, Mary Shackelford, Jeff Dunnicliff, Rob Briggs, Kathy Leathers, Mike Moyer, Steve Way, Alison Loomis and Karen Davis for being part of the team, and much gratitude to our friends at Nimiipuu Protecting the Environment, including Maria Elizarraras and Julian Matthews, for all the logistics support and hosting.

Check out the drone footage of the floating banner and land banners, on the Snake.

An article in the local paper, the Lewiston Morning Tribune, about the event is here: Demonstrators Gather for a Free-Flowing Snake River
