Folks in Alameda, CA projected Muslim solidarity messaging on local theater.
"After the terror attacks Christchurch, New Zealand, we wanted to shine something beautiful. Muslims make America great, so we projected two images to stand in solidarity with them. The first is of USA Representative Ilhan Omar, art by Elizabeth Brockway of The Daily Beast. The second is We the People by Shepard Fairey. We've projected in this community before, and the families walking by that evening appreciated it, as did the online communities where we posted the images.
After grievous hurts, the community is raw and vulnerable. Softer images of solidarity are slightly better than fighting back with more provocative images." ~Alan in Alameda
