Born and bred in the Pacific Northwest, Stacy spent her youth surrounded by the fertile farmland of the Puyallup River Valley and spent every summer on the waters of the Salish Sea. She attended Washington State University where she planned on graduating with a degree in wildlife biology, but somehow ended up with a degree in theatre and music. After an illustrious theater career at the Sun Valley Repertoire Company teaching classes to the children of the rich and famous (one who could upstage her by popping out his prosthetic eye) she ended up back in college at the University of Idaho where she received her degree in International Studies.
She spent many years as a trainer, fundraiser, and lobbyist for the RESULTS Educational Fund focused on global health and girls’ education. After many years looking outside of our country she turned her attention back home to her roots in agriculture and spent many years advocating for farmland preservation, small, diversified family farms and the direct market outlets that support them, and food security for all.
Stacy is passionate about empowering and enabling organizations to maximize their potential to mobilize their people, partners, and communities they serve.
