Backbone brought our signature touch to the annual Vashon Island Strawberry Festival parade!

Backbone participated in the 2019 Vashon Island Strawberry Festival grand parade! With the help of dozens of volunteers, we were able to deploy our giant inflatable orca, salmon and globe, and debut the latest addition to our imagery library -- a fluttering kaleidoscope of monarch butterflies.

Leading the procession with a banner reading "PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE" and  Bill leading on percussion, we chanted "Rise Cascadia rise! Protect our water and skies! Orca and salmon, cedar and fir! Rise Cascadia rise!" You can see it in action here.
