Liberty is a muscle that must be exercised!
Since January 20, 2025, Backbone Campaign and our volunteers and allies have:
- Deployed 45 freeway banners in 5 locations over 13 consecutive weeks,
- Shipped banner toolkits to 31 cities in 10 states,
- Trained more than 200 people in bannering and light projection in our virtual workshops, and
- Projected images focused on workers' rights, immigration, and illegal detention in Seattle, Portland, Kansas City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Minneapolis and Boston.
For more than 20 years, Backbone has been preparing for this moment. Our high visibility activism tools speak to the moment and amplify our collective voices. Today, our work is more important than ever before. But, we cannot do this at the scale and scope that is necessary without growing support from people like you.
Pitch in with a donation to keep growing Backbone's capacity to tool up and skill up people around the country.
You Count on Backbone to GO BIG - So Here's What's Next:
On April 5th, Backbone Campaign joined millions of protesters across the country to rise up against the Trump administration and to call for a democracy that works for all of us. In Seattle, our freeway banners ringed the Seattle Center and our giant 210' We the People was at the front of the rally, inviting people to pledge their commitment to the cause of liberty. After all these years, it still amazes us how such a simple act and image can be so deeply meaningful.
Now is the time to double down on actions to defend this country against tyranny and dictatorship. So, as the caption of the Seattle Times photo indicates, we want to take this powerful imagery, as well as light projection and more to the upcoming protests in Washington, DC.
Please make a secure, tax-deductible donation today to send a team to DC AND to keep growing Backbone's capacity to tool up and skill up people around the country.
With Deepest Gratitude,
Bill, Stacy, Amy, Lucy, Laura & All of Team Backbone
