Join Wednesday's, August 23rd Art Build to help us construct a 150 foot floating banner. We need your help creating this awesome on-water visual to protect our beloved Salish Sea from fossil fuel infrastructure! 

No Skills Necessary - Just your willingness to help out! Drop-in to our Vashon headquarters to help with a variety of volunteer opportunities. Stop in to Suite 205 when you arrive!

Wednesday's project involves us laying out and affixing the 9 foot tall letters and then attaching floats underneath the letters. We'll be working on the shaded grassy lawn at the Sheffield building creating a banner similar to the one in the photo.

This Friday and Saturday we'll mobilize this massive banner and our LED light panels in Squamish BC. The combination of the reckless planning by those pushing for fossil fuel projects and organized resistance has so far prevented even one of the 20 proposed liquified gas plants from being constructed. At the end of July, a key investor of B.C.'s premier proposed LNG plant pulled out. The writing is on the wall for the end of these disastrous fossil fuel infrastructure projects. Yet, the companies pushing a plant in the Canadian Howe Sound of our Salish Sea dare to go forth with a project that's bad for the climate, bad for marine life and has shoddy economics. They are threatening an imminent start to construction. 

We don't need an increase in oil and gas tankers endangering our communities or waters, nor do we need to deepen the dependence on climate cooking fossil fuels. Now, with your help, we can demonstrate our widespread resistance to new fossil fuel projects and our love for the Salish Sea.

• Knee pads or foam gardening pads.
• Dress for a slight mess.
• Non-GMO snacks or beverages to share.
• Clean plastic screw-top containers (we especially love Talenti gelato containers).
