Stop by this Wednesday to make art out in the sun's rays with us!
This week we need help with a few projects from those of you who've got some artistic skill (stitching especially) and those who don't.
Wednesday we're:
- painting the last sections of our year's-worth supply of banner making material
- chopping up reusable stencils for our large overpass banners
- stitching new banners to our inflatable 12 foot elephant prop and adding zippers to our inflatable earth globe
- and doing our last bit of papier-maché for the foreseeable future (don't miss out :-).
With you're help we'll get our social and environmental justice tools for earning media and building power to more communities across the country!
No Skills Necessary - Just your willingness to help out!
Drop-in to our Vashon headquarters to help with a variety of volunteer opportunities. Stop in to Suite 205 when you arrive!
Supplies / food items you can bring:
- Sunglasses and water bottle.
- Dress for a slight mess (paint clothes are great if you have some).
- Non-GMO snacks or beverages to share.
- Clean plastic screw-top containers (we especially love Talenti gelato containers).
If you need a reprieve from your daily activities, whatever your gift or skill may be, there are a host of useful ways you can pitch-in!
Special thanks to all the amazing volunteers who showed up to help us these last few weeks helping us make not one but two 100ft + floating banners for the many flotillas! Thank you to Wynne, Art, Clare, Debbie, Tania, Suzanne, Michael, Kristina, Nan, Mary, Jacqui, Kyle, Laura, Rob, Martin, Scott, Alix, Bob, Jenna, David, Wendy, Jennifer, Don, Judy and more!
