Stop by this Wednesday to make art out in the sun's rays with us again!
This week learn how to stitch together our inflatable puppets or help with an array of other activities at the art build (No skills required!).
We’re lucky this week to be joined again by our friend Rod Tharp from Olympia, a wizard in the creation of artful activism imagery. He’s eager to give guidance, tips and tricks on the use of our two industrial sewing machines (one of which he’s upgrading to have a variable speed motor, yay!).
Come on out to give stitching a try or join our other art leads to lend a hand.
No Skills Necessary - Just your willingness to help out!
Drop-in to our Vashon headquarters to help with a variety of volunteer opportunities. Stop in to Suite 205 when you arrive!
Supplies / food items you can bring:
- Sunglasses and water bottle.
- Dress for a slight mess.
- Non-GMO snacks or beverages to share.
- Clean plastic screw-top containers (we especially love Talenti gelato containers).
If you need a reprieve from your daily activities, whatever your gift or skill may be, there are a host of useful ways you can pitch-in!
We are so grateful to all the volunteers who helped prime and paint over 4,500 square feet of our banner-making material. To visualize the impact of all that great work we calculated that restocking our year’s-worth supply of banner-making material is the equivalent of giant banner toolkits for 50 communities. That's no small feat, thanks a ton!
