RSVP for Backbone's Wednesday Volunteer Drop-in & Art Build, 12-8pm

Connect with kindreds spirits. Helping hands are needed this Wednesday! Pop-in for an hour or two.

This week we're building a massive banner to support tenant rights and ensure no one is locked out of a home. Also, we're aiming to finish the 130 piece library of fabric letters to go with our shippable pipeline prop for campaigns against eminent domain for corporate gain, fracked gas and fossil fuel infrastructure like the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. Come on by to make a difference in a very tangible way!

Shippable_Pipeline_Letter_Vashon_Art_Build_w__Alan__Art__Jennifer__and_Debby.jpgLend a hand with stitching, soldering, tracing, cutting, twist-tying, hole-punching, drilling, wiring LED lights and more! No Skills Necessary.

Many hands are needed to create the artful activism you know and love.

Supplies / food items you can bring:

  • Non-GMO snacks or beverages to share.
  • Bring some WARM clothes.
  • A headlamp and eyeglasses to improve visibility.
  • Clean plastic screw-top containers (we especially love Talenti gelato containers)

PS: Can't come to the art build but want to help from the comfort of your home? You can take some of the materials home. Call/text Eric at 860-605-0776.

We're hosting art builds every Wednesday through December 20th!
