Earlier this year, Representative Mike Simpson, a Republican Congressman from Idaho, released a legislative framework - a visionary proposal to restore abundant salmon and steelhead to our region and strengthen Northwest communities. We at Backbone are excited about the Simpson Plan; without it, the salmon will go extinct.

But our Washington State Senators and Governor have rejected the Simpson Plan, as well as the opinion of 68 of the nation and NW's premier salmon and fisheries scientists. 

We need to take action that demonstrates to Senators Cantwell and Murray and to Governor Inslee that dam removal IS the only option for wild salmon recovery.
